First UE5 project created to visualize a new church, combining 3D modeling in Blender and visualization in Unreal Engine.
Development Details
This was my first project in Unreal Engine 5, developed as a volunteer over a single month to help a community visualize their new temple, following the pastor's guidelines. Since I wasn't familiar with floor plans, I relied on the support of a church engineer who created a basic layout, which I used in Blender to build the entire 3D structure. As a no-budget project, I modeled several assets from scratch when I couldn't find free alternatives, focusing on maintaining a clean pipeline and correcting every piece of geometry. The biggest technical challenge was delivering high visual quality on a low-end notebook (920MX GPU with 2GB DDR3 memory) while using a brand-new engine. Despite the challenges, it was a very fun project where I learned the fundamentals of the Blender-to-Unreal workflow.
